Say no to fluffy
 product marketing.

We're the product marketing agency that transforms hard-to-sell technical products into compelling narratives that actually convert. Deep-tech and B2B software startup leaders trust us to build their go-to-market engine when their sales team can't explain why it matters without a product expert in every call.

TRUSTED BY GROWING STARTUPS

AltMonday Open Door Illustration

You've built something brilliant. Your product solves real problems. But your sales team keeps getting blank stares in demos, prospects ghost you after trials, and you're constantly having to jump on calls to explain why your solution matters.

Here's the truth:

Product marketing isn't
just a marketing function

It's what turns your product into something buyers actually understand and want. After nearly two decades helping deep-tech and B2B software companies position and launch complex products, we've learned that guesses don't deliver strong messages and hopes don't build a healthy sales pipeline.

When you're ready to move beyond expert-dependent sales and build a scalable go-to-market engine, you need a methodical approach built on customer insights, not assumptions.

That's where we come in.

Why complex tech products can't be fluffy

Most marketing advice is fluffy feel-good nonsense that falls apart when you're explaining why your AI is better, your API is different, or your sensors outperform competitors. Whether you're building construction robotics, proptech platforms, or deep tech innovations, your products need marketing as sophisticated as the engineering behind them.

Eye icon
Get clarity on your best-fit customers:

One customer segment will most likely be worth more to your business than others. By becoming crystal clear on who they are, you can focus your GTM effort on telling one story for the biggest impact.

Border Icon
Sharpen your product positioning

Being everything to everyone is a recipe for a failed product launch. By understanding who your best-fit customers are, you can position your product in the right context and unlock the 'aha!' moment quickly.

Lightning Bolt Icon
Enable sales to sell better, close faster

Give your sales team the tools and messaging they need to communicate complex value propositions without pulling in product experts for every technical question. No matter how great the product is, it won't sell itself.

Heart icon
Build products that don't suck

The market insights you gain from doing product marketing properly will give your product and engineering team an unfair advantage. It means they can confidently design solutions for the right problems, for the right set of customers, within the right context.

“AltMonday is research-driven and methodical in how they navigate the unknown. They understand the needs of early-stage startups and are pragmatic with their approach in helping us refine our GTM strategy. Thanks to their work, we have all the square pegs in the square holes, so to speak, and no longer have to guess whether we're doing it right.”
Mark Richards
CEO, Presien
“What impressed us most was how AltMonday's contribution went beyond marketing—they helped us rethink our entire approach to go-to-market. They laid a solid foundation for all our product marketing efforts. We now have much clearer positioning, a well-defined product offering, and a messaging framework that resonates with our target audience. The opportunities we generated at the trade show were so phenomenal we ran out of brochures”
Dr. Sven Sylvester
CFO, Calumino
“AltMonday worked with us to produce a GTM playbook over a mammoth three-week sprint. Our whole team was impressed at how quickly they detangled and brought structure to our complex product offering in an even more complex market. We were surprised by how much work they produced in this time, and how little of our team's resources they needed.”
David Esber
Co-Founder, EnvisionVR
"The Product Marketing bootcamp was a turning point for us. We were not only equipped with a toolkit of directly applicable frameworks and exercises but perhaps most importantly were all speaking the same language when it came to Product Marketing. AltMonday's sessions exceeded our expectations and impressed upon us the utmost importance in planning for Product Marketing from the outset."
Laura Spelbrink
Chief Growth Officer, FrontierSI
“Having worked with Angela in the past, I knew I had to get them in as soon as possible. In three short weeks, they built the product marketing foundations for us; coaching my sales team on product positioning, buyer's personas and messaging with tangible materials produced through market research and customer interviews. Their three-week sprints are fantastic for startup teams looking for velocity of high-quality insights."
Alex Doyle
Head of Sales, Asseti

FAQs

Wait, what exactly is product marketing?

Product marketing is the strategy that defines how people are going to know, use, and talk about your product — from defining what the market is, who the ideal customers are, and the value proposition of the offering (i.e., why they care). When done right, it puts the customer perspective at the centre of your go-to-market strategy, enabling your team to drive product adoption past its launch.

We're super early stage — can you still help us?

We work with startups that already have one product in the market with an active go-to-market motion. In the super early stages, chances are you're still learning about your best customers and are nailing the problem-solution fit of your product—which we think is best done in-house. If you want someone to coach you through this process, we're happy to jump on a complementary strategy call.

Why should I work with AltMonday instead of hiring a full-time Product Marketing Manager?

A senior Product Marketing Manager costs $150,000-$180,000 per year plus benefits (and Director+ leaders $180,000+) and takes 3-6 months to fully onboard. With AltMonday, you get an experienced team that can execute immediately for a fraction of the cost. You also gain access to specialised skills that would typically require multiple hires (positioning, sales enablement, technical writing). Our engagements typically range from $15,000-$75,000 depending on scope and timeline - delivering the same value as a full-time hire but with immediate expertise and no long-term commitment. When you're ready to build your in-house team, we'll help you hire and train them.

Who will be doing the work?

You'll be supported by our team of specialised product marketing experts, led by Angela, who brings two decades of product marketing experience to every engagement. While Angela oversees strategy and quality, our network of experienced product marketers, content writers, designers, technical marketing and sales enablement specialists execute different aspects of your project based on their specific expertise. This team approach means you get specialised talent for each deliverable, faster turnaround times, and the benefit of diverse perspectives—all while maintaining consistent quality and strategic direction. Yes, a whole product marketing team without the headcount.

How quickly will I see results?

You'll receive your first deliverables within 1-2 weeks of starting. Our process is designed to show progressive value: first with clear positioning and messaging, then with sales enablement tools, and finally with market validation. Many clients report immediate improvements in sales conversations after implementing our messaging frameworks.

What makes AltMonday different from other marketing consultancies?

We specialise in complex technical products and the unique challenges of selling them. Unlike general marketing agencies, we know how to translate technical features into business benefits without dumbing them down. We also focus on practical tools your sales team can use tomorrow, not just high-level strategy decks.

What's your typical engagement length?

Our engagements typically range from 3-6 months depending on your needs. We offer Foundation (3 months), Growth (4 months), and Scale (6 months) packages to match where you are in your journey. Most clients see immediate value within the first few weeks, then continue working with us to refine their positioning and build out their internal capabilities. Some eventually transition to a lighter advisory role as we help them hire and train their in-house product marketing team.

What's the payment term?

All monthly fees are invoiced at the beginning of each month. We understand startups need flexibility with cash flow, so payment plans are available upon request. After the initial 3-month commitment, you can pause or stop the engagement anytime with 2 weeks' notice. We know startup priorities shift quickly, and sometimes you need time to execute on what we've built together before continuing.

How many clients do you work with?

We're a small full-service consultancy—and we like to keep it that way. This means we only work with a handful of clients at a time to ensure the quality of work and advice. We only work with one new client at a time to ensure we can onboard and learn about their business and product as quickly as possible to add value, fast.

Are there things you don't work on?

Yes—plenty. We are a product marketing consultancy, which means a lot of the work we will do together is market and buyer research, strategy, and experimentation. We are not a brand agency. We are not a design studio. We are not a full-service marketing agency that will run your day-to-day digital marketing campaigns. But we know really good people and can refer you to them as needed.

Do you only work with founders, or can you help our executive team?

We work with any leader responsible for bringing complex technical products to market - whether that's a technical founder, Chief Product Officer, CMO, or CRO. What matters is that you're dealing with products that are hard to explain and harder to sell.
